This lesson cross references the SEL Core Competency: 'Self-Awareness' from the CASEL 5. It teaches children to identify one's emotions, and understand how to link feelings, values, and thoughts. The episode shows an adult (Dave) modeling honesty and vulnerability. Ultimately the lesson encourages and educates children on how to develop a growth mindset.
