Biblical Insight:
Paul was given this mandate from the Messiah - spread the Gospel. However he was “hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). Part of the journey of faith is pressing on in the midst of difficulty. Even in the situation of the the early church, the persecution of the church in Jerusalem caused the Gospel to spread outside Israel. Adversity creates opportunity for grit; there is always a way!
