This video introduces the star of our show, Boris! Jasmine, Dave's daughter, and her friend Chloe introduce all the bits of Boris and how he has been made from trash into treasure. Because Boris was once made from 'scraps,' trash, he sometimes hears the voice of the Scrapman in his mind. Dave and the friends explain how to achieve mental clarity and silence the negative internal voice of the Scrapman. Just because you were trash doesn't mean you aren't now treasure.

This lesson cross references the SEL Core Competency: 'Self-Awareness' from the CASEL 5. It teaches children to identify one's emotions and internal dialogue. The lesson then propels them towards experiencing self-efficacy and developing a growth mindset.
